Moved this from the Launch Pad to Book Suggestions.

The Launch Pad is for projects ready to start right now. 8-)

EDIT: This has been recorded twice so far for LV:

You could use this source: https://archive.org/details/WeirdTalesV10N04192710
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

Also Pickman's Model only comes out to about 30-35 minutes, so it'd probably be best if you did want to record it just submitting it to the Horror Short Story Collection rather than creating a new project for it.

In case you're curious to record some Lovecraft that hasn't been recorded yet, there are a few out there. These would all be appropriate to record for one of the short story collections:
The Horror at Red Hook: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/72966
Two Black Bottles (co-written with Wilfred Blanch Talman): https://archive.org/details/WeirdTalesV10N02192708/page/n107/mode/2up
Cool Air: www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/73177
Quest of Iranon: www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/73182

This is the only one long enough probably to warrant creating a solo project (It's about 16,000 words):
Medusa's Coil (with Zealia B. Bishop): https://gutenberg.org/ebooks/70899.

Thanks for this insight. surprised Cool Air hasn't been recorded yet. Would have some apprehension about recording the Horror at Red Hook. Heard it is arguably his most bigoted work. Any other lesser known eldritch adjacent works that have not been recorded yet?

Cool Air was just added to gutenberg recently, so that's why it hasn't been recorded yet. You could always throw together a couple of them as a solo project and do a Weird Tales Double Feature if you want to do a solo project. I've done a bunch like that (https://librivox.org/search/?q=weird%20tales%20double%20feature&search_form=advanced). And yea, Horror at Red Hook is definitely incredibly xenophobic. It's worth reading though if for no other reason to give a basis to victor Lavalle's Ballad of Black Tom which is an excellent kind of revisionist take on it.

Also just in the last couple days, Haunter in the Dark and Thing on the Doorstep have been added to gutenberg. Like Red Hook, those also fall into that "too short for a solo" bucket.

If you're looking for a solo project to do that's Lovecraft-related, I've read that The Comet Doom by Edmond Hamilton influenced Lovecraft (https://archive.org/details/Amazing_Stories_v02n10_1928-01_Missing_ibcbc_AK/page/n7/mode/1up). I've never read it, so I'm not sure in what capacity. Just going by what this page said: https://darkworldsquarterly.gwthomas.org/the-wellsian-invasions-of-edmond-hamilton/
But it's about 19,000 words which is a nice first solo project if you're curious about it.

There's also Robert E. Howard's "Black Canaan" which is supposed to be one of his better horror stories: https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/71168
This one has a lot of racial slurs in it though which is I'm sure why it hasn't been recorded yet.

The case of Charles Dexter Ward is proofing at PGDP now and is long enough for a solo. I have no idea how soon it will post though. PGDP isn't deterministic.

Oh, and there are probably at least a couple of Lovecraftian solo projects somewhere in here:

These are all the unrecorded longer works from Weird Tales magazine.

Listened to The Ballad of Black Tom on audiobook and rather enjoyed it.
