I am dealing with a number of medical issues which have, unfortunately slowed down my ability to sit and edit files. I can listen just fine, it is the hands on the keyboard to make changes that has been impacted.

Thanks,

M

I really enjoyed this chapter and thank you so much for letting me have additional time. I have been really struggling with my medical issues.

Please let me know of any changes required.

Thanks,

I want to volunteer. I will do (redo?) my 1 minute test soon (before starting). This will be my first attempt so I am only taking one section at this time. I would like to start with

14 Chapter 9 - Statesmen of the Revolution - Their Views of Christianity and its Relations to Civil Society and Government 3800 words, p.121 stop at Roger Sherman. Open

Just to confirm so I read the correct part, this is starting with the beginning of Chapter 9 on the original text page #110 and ending on original text page #121 right before the name Samuel Huntington?

Assuming this goes well I will likely continue on right after this section with 15 but I will reserve that before I start working on it.

Good evening Bob, welcome to Librivox.

I am happy to assign you this section and offer assistance where I can. Let me know when your 1 minute has been completed. Thank you for your interest in this work.

Yes, you are correct. Samuel Huntington leads section two for chapter 9. The first three paragraphs on that page are remainder from the Roger Sherman section begun on the preceding page.

My 1 minute test is now uploaded at https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/1_minute_test_for_librivox_by_bob_larimer.mp3 . I will wait for approval feedback on this or subsequent 1 minute tests before I start recording my assigned section.

My uploaded test is original audio with no filters or processing, just raw exported MP3 with Mono / 44100 / 128 settings.

It doesn't look like you posted this in the test recordings forum, so I'm checking it here.

Tech settings, volume, etc. are all OK!

It passes, but you might want to do a little noise reduction on it to dampen some of the low-toned noise in the silences. It's not a big deal; just a suggestion. Since you mentioned that it had no processing, it sounds like you may know how to do this, so I'm giving you the green light. :)

Thank you for catching that, I didn't realize it wasn't (also) where it was supposed to be.
