Hello from Poland :)
The most important thing to know when it comes to copyright in any EU country is the author's death date. If the author died at least 70 years ago, the book is in the public domain for the European Union.
If you're searching for a Polish book to read and record, I suggest looking at www.polona.pl
You can also look up the book on https://pl.wikisource.org/wiki/Wiki%C5%BAr%C3%B3d%C5%82a:Strona_g%C5%82%C3%B3wna but make sure the text comes with a scan, like here https://pl.wikisource.org/wiki/Poezye_wydanie_zupe%C5%82ne,_krytyczne_tom_X so that the project coordinator can check the publication date which is important for LibriVox. Iit's important to look at the publication date because that's what matters for LibriVox as a company in the US, where the copyright rules differ from the EU. The book needs to have been published no later than 1928.
