Hey, I was wondering if you were solo-ing a book, could you get one of your siblings or friends to do some sound effects for the recording? To add some drama, or is that something we don't really do here? :D
Thanks,
-Iona

Not in the Librivox version.

But there is nothing stopping you from also making your own version outside of LibriVox and doing whatever you want with it; that's another good reason to keep backups of your readings especially the files in your DAW.

That is true, I guess I didn't think of that, I will have to remember not to delete my recordings after I am done with them. :)

"Digital Audio Workstation" = your software

I'm considering editing my next LibriVox project in stereo and having Audacity export the MP3 in mono. That seems like a lot of extra work, though, so maybe not.

What will that do to the recording?

It could go to Internet Archive.

I was talking about editing your project in stereo, then exporting in mono. I was just curious what that does.

Sorry for the delay. Recording in stereo would do nothing for LibriVox, but (if I did it, not likley) I would have a stereo version I could post somewhere else. It would still be in the public domain, cuz I believe in that.
