As it happens, I'm one of the few people I know who have read Boy Swallows Universe all the way through and didn't like it much. I've listened just now to a sample of the Audible audiobook, and have to agree with the comments about the (un)suitability of the reader made by the author of this article. On the other hand, clearly lots of people have loved this audiobook, so clear not everyone shares my peculiar tastes.
