And yet, despite how much I agree with many of these ideas, I am troubled by the fact that underlying them seems to be (in Wilson's case, I mean), a belief in a superior breed of people - an Anglo Saxon high caste, so to speak. I find I am disappointed in him, in a way. I also continue to think that he gets so caught up in his own rhetoric that he kind of creates his own history and his own "givens" that may not be entirely in accordance with the truth.
That being said, chapter 5 is up.

I thought this discussion clarified some things for me, but also I have far, far less faith in the power of public disapproval or the concept that officeholders have best interests at heart. (and yes, his belief in racial hierarchy is off-putting)
