I finally finished Section 35. However, Audacity 3.4.2 I recently updated to doesn't seem to have an Export to MP3 option. Do you know if there's any tip on the librivox site instructing users on how to make this available?

Hmm. I have 3.4.2.

Look under File / Export Audio
From there you can pick the format: MP3
Be sure check your settings:
Channel: mono
sample rate: 44100 Hz
Bit depth: 16 bit

1. 莫聲□先生- I searched online from a number of sources, but simply couldn't find what this missing character is after 莫聲. I decided to just read the way it is since it's just a name. The locations are 1:37 and 1:52.
2. 清懼老者 - I believe it's a misprint from 清癯老者 (27:48)
3. 類主政 - Based on the same name at other places, it should be a misprint from 婁主政 (33:43, 44:17).
4. □著點腰兒 - Cannot find any other source to help me determine what the missing character is! So, I read 彎著點腰兒 (73:00).

I'm afraid Checker wants to see a 44.1 kHz sampling rate to let your work pass. Is there any way you might be able to fix this?

This new upgraded version obviously includes new features and rearranged things, and my limp-along mode wouldn't work any more! I found the "project sample rate" in the Quality section of the Audio Setting. It does show 44100 Hz for my recording device. If this indeed is right, is it possible that my export process somehow changed it? Hopefully, you can help me get out of my confusion.

I just fired up the Export window to see the sample rate parameter and it does show 44100 Hz!

Interesting ... checker shows it at 24,000 kHz.

I just ran one of my very recent files (made with this version of audacity) through checker and it came back with 41,000 kHz ... so I don't think it a checker problem.

Let me do some looking on the settings in Audacity ...

There is a place there to enter Quality as well ... make sure they are set to 44100 Hz and 16-bit ...
