Also, forgive me for the dumb question, but out of curiosity -- how would you advise we read dialogue such as the following from Part 10?

Would we just read the text as written? Would we say the abbreviations of the names or "Tommy" and "Mr. Barlow", for example?...And if no ship should come, what then? T.-- Why, then, we must stay there all our lives, I am afraid. Mr. B.-- If you wish to prepare yourselves against the event, you are much in the right, for nobody knows... your house? T. -- The first thing we want, sir, is wood and a hatchet. Mr. B.-- ...
