Paul (our DPL) is an expert… I don’t think he’ll let you off with faking it, but I’m sure he can give you tips I’ll sign you up pending his input. You can always be taken off if it proves too challenging.

I'm not really an expert, but good enough to keep you right and very happy to give you tips. Thanks for checking in first as I hate hearing language decimated for lack of a quick check. I'll have a look at the sections and drop you a recording.

Walahi! (Arabic exclamation of really!) - you weren't kidding when you said there were lots. I think there are more than any other section. I might as well be the reader . Only kidding, I'll try to stick more to rules and examples of using them, which you can apply to the rest of the words rather than telling you how to pronounce each word.
Thanks for your response Paul. Would you please cancel my assignment to these sections? I'd rather look for a book in plain English. Regards.PaulWelford wrote: ↑February 1st, 2024, 9:32 pmWalahi! Wallah! It may be a fit of madness,
but I will claim
Chapter IX, DIYÂRBEKR TO KONIA.
I will have some pronunciation questions for Paul when I begin.
Obviously this will take some little while for me to complete.
(How do you eat an elephant? A little at a time.)
