It was recorded with an XLR mic, using Audacity, on Linux Mint.

Welcome to Librivox, Adam!

You have a powerful resonant voice, and your test meets all Librivox standards, so you're ready to start recording.

I suggest heading over to the "Readers Wanted: Short Works (Poetry & Prose)" forum to find your first recording. There are lots of shorter options there in all genres. Let the book coordinator of your first reading know if you want a different name than AdamInVA in the Librivox catalogue.

If you have questions along the way, the "Need Help? Got Advice?” forum is a useful place to get answers.

Happy reading!

Cheers,
Winnifred

Readers Wanted:

Thank you so much for the quick response Winnifred! I definitely need some shorter options while I get my bearings :)

Yes, there's a lot to wrap your head around at first, but I predict you'll be up and running in no time. Enjoy!
