The DR, Shall We Join The Ladies (JM Barrie), is disconcerting in that its core - the mystery concerning who killed Smith's brother - is elaborately set up but not solved.

I, a mystery buff, really was disconcerted. I think the summary should make it clear this is an unfinished work.

There seems to be some argument about whether it is unfinished or experimental so it was left as it is. If it was experimental then putting a spoiler in the summary is against LV policy.

I understand, however...

First, to say it's unfinished is not to say the mystery is elaborately set up without being resolved.

Second, the arguments suggesting it's an experimental work are weak, not to say entirely unconvincing.

I think this would be the position of anyone who is both familiar with Barrie's works and with the mystery genre.
