OPEN[PLAY]The Basset-Table by Centlivre - thw
Oh apologies! I’ve made you work very hard, Mrs. Sago—so what’s a little more poking and prodding! I’ll get on it ASAP!

Such fun and thanks for your patience as I sputtered my way to the end!

wonderfully portrayed, oh my, he is such a doting muggins for his wife, the poor man. I now think I needn't have wept quite as much, I would have gotten him back with even less effort This will be some hilarious scenes once stitched together.Beeswaxcandle wrote: ↑January 12th, 2024, 5:11 pmMr Sago acts 2 & 5:

Just a few small notes for your consideration:
Act 2:
> at 4:30: (p. 225) "you'll buss poor Puddy now" - here you say "poodd" like in "pudding", later in Act 5 you say "pud" like in "pudgy". As I also say "pud" (like pudgy) as Mrs Sago, maybe we could both stay consistent with that version
> at 4:38: (p. 226) "you'll go home with Puddy now" - also here
Act 5:
> at about 5:35: (p. 256) missed line: "I wish your ladyship Joy, and hope I shall keep my Keecky to myself now."
thanks

Finishing up Pinero, I was thinking about stage directions here, but Sir Richard Plainman is too good of a role to pass up. Could I play him?
