I just realised you had a heap of sections for PL. Sorry. Working thru them now.

They are all great readings.

Sections 0 -2 are all PL OK.

Section 3, Misery, has an extra "done" included at 0:44. It's pretty minor as you say it so fast it hardly affects the rhythm but I thought I'd let you know in case you want to correct it.

Also - a suggestion, these sections are extremely short, I think too short as the standard LV stuff at start and end takes up a disproportionate amount of time compared to the poems. I'd suggest merging them into one or a few sections instead.

Paul
I just fixed section 3 by removing the extra "done". (12-8-23)

- I only heard the word "done" once. At 0:54, I said ".. that done me wrong". My midwestern accent/drawl might have made "that" and "done" sound like the same word, lol.

Should I articulate that section to make both words stand out?
I hear ‘that’ clearly already. To me it sounds like:

‘Shall I carve myself, or that man that done done me wrong?’

But if you disagree I’m not going to make a big deal. As with the other one it’s fairly minor and quickly said so doesn’t disturb the rhythm.
I heard it that time, just fixed it!

Great. Fabulous reading. As I requested before, please can you change the status in the MW to ‘ready for spot PL’ when you make changes in response to PL notes?

Section 12

1) please update the MW to Ready for PL and make a post when you upload

2) you’ve added the word big twice, once at each occurrence of ‘that would be a surprise’. 00:31 and 00:49

The end 5 seconds has a clock or metronome but should be silent

Section 13

The first line should be
Her face is pale

But I hear
Her lips are pale

Corrected: I removed the word "big" from both spots and marked this section as 'ready for PL".

The voice correction is good thanks but the metronome is still there.

Also - the method is to mark it as ready for PL when you first post a file but then it’s ‘ready for spot PL’ when you post a correction. Meaning I don’t need to listen to the whole file again, just the spot where it’s corrected. As your files are so short it’s not a big deal but it’s worth using the correct method.

- Metronome removed (copied and pasted 5 secs of silence from earlier in the recording).
-Saw the "ready for Spot PL" note and corrected it, sorry about that.

PaulWelford wrote: October 17th, 2023, 3:10 am I think you mis-pronounced a word five times in the last verse of section 7 Po' Boy Blues. If it was just the way you say it I'd leave it alone (per LV rules) but in the last / sixth instance you pronounce it correctly. The correct word is weary but I hear reary.
- Ready for Spot PL at 1:07
-Last verse was re-recorded. I tried have over-pronounced the word as "wee-ry" so it didn't sound like "rear-ee".

The metronome was in section 12 but you’ve tagged the PL notes for section 4. This would be irrelevant except that the end of 12 now has a more intrusive clicking noise than before so I’m concerned that you’ve mixed up the files in reality as well as in the PL notes.
