This was hilariously presented! Just one tiny edit. All recordings should have 5 seconds silence at the end. You only have two here.
Thanks,

Thanks so much for your encouragement! This is my second recording and I'm still working on character voices.

I'll upload the edited version on Monday morning.

Thanks! You're queued for PL!

One other thing, for future reference when you post a source on gutenberg, can you post the root page like this? https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/71917
Much appreciated!

Pangborn's Paradox:
8:38 remove mistake "Pangborn extemp" just before "Pangborn ostentatiously"
Another funny one!

ARRRGH! I just recorded a story called Pangborn's Paradox but it looks like someone beat me to it but a few minutes LOL!!

This is my recording, for what little it's worth now
https://librivox.org/uploads/brownrottger/ssf096_pangbornsparadox_mason_dmb_128kb.mp3

Would it be possible for me to post this to a different SF collection or is that forbidden?

Yes, we can hold it until the next collection. Just resubmit after collection 97 is open. The only restriction is that two recordings of the same story can't be in the same collection.

As an alternative, you could always record the other three David Mason stories and release them together as a solo project similar to how some other authors have been done.
For example: https://librivox.org/4-sf-stories-by-mack-reynolds-by-mack-reynolds/

The other unrecorded Mason stories for reference:
Garrity's Annuities www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/50981
Rockabye, Grady www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/71584
The Long Question www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/71813

Entirely up to you! :D

Interesting idea! I'll think about it.

Is there a way to claim a short story here so it doesn't get duplicated? It's probably a one in a zillion chance that it would happen, but since it did happen today.......

Not really. You can always let people know that you're recording it but they can still record it too if they'd like.

Good Morning:

Done; https://librivox.org/uploads/brownrottger/ssf096_pangbornparadox_mason_dg_128kb.mp3

I have had that problem with good stories too, but if you are willing to wait a month or two, you can resubmit it into a future collection. I have never found a perfect reading of any story. Multiple versions are a good thing.

Thanks for finding that.
