Congratulations! You've got this book off to a fine start with the first PL OK recording. It was enjoyable to listen to.

Thanks,

Sorry for my late response.

I would be glad to make your LV debut here, unless you would like to try a shorter section to test the waters.
These are fairly long chapters, and will take twice the time to edit and submit as the finished recording.

In any case, I need to add you to the LibriVox reader's catalog first. Let me exactly how you would like to be listed. This can be your real name, a pseudonym, or any nickname/handle you wish. This is how you will be credited for all of your LV work.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Thanks for your PM.
I've added you to the LibriVox catalog and assigned you Section 12.
Just click on your name in the Magic Window to view your personal reader page. This is where you can track all of your LV projects of which I hope there will be many!

As I said, this is quite a long section, so if you would like to try something shorter to test the waters, you might want to consider that. The weekly poem is a good choice, or you can go to Readers Wanted Short Works to find something.

In any event, you are set to go.

WELCOME TO LIBRIVOX

Hello! Here is section 2 (29:23). I love the description of Seattle, and it's great to see how much it really has grown from all those years ago.

Hello! Here is section 3 (31:58). Very interesting to hear of the whaling process, and I'm so glad the expedition didn't end up badly for the crew!

Chapters 2 and 3 are both PL OK. Well done.

There must be something about whaling stories that makes the author go on lengthy digressions. Although, I must say, these are much shorter than those of Moby Dick.

Thanks,

M
