You could provide both texts in the first post: the Archive one with direct links in the MW, and the other in case a reader prefers the html or text format.
I am pleased to announce that The World's Best Orations is now complete and ready to be catalogued! There are, unfortunately, 6 section(s) that have incorrect filenames: section(s) 7,12,29,33,35,53. There is the note FILENAME in the MW. All file lengths in the MW are correct. Thanks for MCing!

Great! I'll work on this tomorrow.

As long as the file links point to the actual files, the exact file names don't matter. I can clean them all up with 2 clicks and a couple copy/pastes in the cataloging system. :)

I believe you're aware of the policy discussion the admins had concerning texts like this with contributions from multiple people. Since this is the first volume in a series, I think we should go with the newly-decided system rather than have one volume cataloged with all entities as an author and the rest of the volumes entered with either just "various" or the editor(s).

My question: Do you think we should catalog this with "various" or with the names of the two editors?

I'm leaning towards using the editors, since these were orations rather than written pieces. The orators probably didn't "author" them in the sense of writing them down.

Either that, or I'm just WAY over-thinking this. :hmm:

What do you think?

I have not read for this selection, but, for what it’s worth, I think using the editors is the better idea.

Thanks for your input. :) That's the way I'm leaning.

ITD:
Section 31 in the validator shows as only 9:00. In the MW it has a run time of 12:06. Please verify that 9:00 is correct. The rest are OK.

I think I'd go with 'Various' because in volume 2, I dropped the editors from the disclaimer and just used the author names to shorten it.

Section 31 should be 9 minutes. Not sure how that happened since it should be automatic from my end... :hmm:

Thanks all!
