Lori - You'll need to make a couple fixes to your chapter and upload it again:
1) The bit rate you submitted is 320 kb/second but it should be 128 kb/second. If you are using Audacity to edit that can be fixed by changing the 'Quality' setting in the export menu. Other editing software should have a similar option.
2) The overall volume of your chapter is too loud - Librivox's standard allows recordings measuring in the range 86-92 dB (as measured by Checker), your chapter came in at 92.7 dB. You'll need to reduce the volume of your chapter by 0.7 to 6.7 dB. Selecting the entire chapter and amplifying by -3.7 dB would put your recording right in the middle of the acceptable range. Fortunately, there is no audio clipping in your chapter; when you lower the volume a bit it will sound just fine.
3) There should be 5 seconds of silence at the end but your recording only had 4.5 seconds. Editing half a second of silence onto the very end will fix this.

Your reading - the actual words, pacing, clarity of the recording, and so on - are all peachy keen, so when you fix the technical glitches everything will be A-OK.

Your fixes for the file are good, but you changed the file name - it should have been policemanbluejay_08_baum_128kb.mp3 and not Chapter_08.mp3. It's important for us to get the correct file name: there are so many uploads and works-in-progress at LibriVox that a mis-named file is in great danger of getting lost in the shuffle. I have renamed your fixed file and uploaded it again under the proper file name - this time. With that, chapter 8 - Mrs. Hootaway - is PL OK. (The duration with the bit of extra silence at the end is now 10:38 - I've put that in the Magic Window as well.)

I'll hear you again in chapters 9 and 10!

In Chapter 11 at ~3:35 there is a missing phrase - "looking at the open mouths reflectively". However, this doesn't alter the meaning of the story, so it can remain as is.

Everything else is fine. Chapter 11 is PL OK.
