Great reading Betsie. I listened and was brought back to Gr. 5 when my elderly spinister teacher read this book to us and read it so well that even the boys in the class sat silent throughout.

I think you'll find Feb 1 to be an ambitious completion date for this book! That said, sign me up for chapters, oh, 9 and 10 to begin with.

Squiddhartha, 9 & 10 are yours =)

Enjoy!

We'll see how the deadline works out... if we do a chapter a day, we can easily do it by Feb. 1st though =)

Could I have Chapters 3-8 please? So many of my favorite moments are in those early chapters and they're fairly short. I may sign up for more later but I'll see how things go. I'm so glad you're organizing this!

Chapters 3-8 go to Annie =)

Favorite moments are easy to come by in this book... We did several of these chapters as Reader's Theater in college... my personal favorite is the one where Diana gets drunk hehehe... =)

Thank you much! Diana's drunkenness is a great moment! My personal favorites include the please call me Cordelia or if you must call me Anne, spell it with an e scene, the fake apology for stealing the amethyst brooch, and of course, smashing the slate over Gilbert's head. Your reading sounds great!

Sign me up for one chapter to start with... anything is fine. I haven't read it in YEARS so I don't remember the story very well -- I'm sure I'll enjoy whatever chapter you give me :)

Kara, How about taking Chapter 11 - Anne's Impressions of Sunday School ?

Annie, yes, the slate over Gilbert's head is a hoot! Thanks for the compliments on my reading ... I look forward to hearing everyone else too =)
