Hi Y'all

https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_britishnickvo.mp3

I'm using Audacity 3.3.3 on a Mac laptop. My mic is a RODE NT1A with pop shock connected to laptop with an audio interface. I followed all instructions in the guide to update audacity settings etc.

I have left it raw and unedited.

Looking forward to your feedback

Welcome Nick

Your test audio is all good, except the volume is a little below range at 85.4db. The acceptable range is 86 to 92.

You can pre-check your audio yourself by downloading the free Checker app: https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/
Passed with Warnings is a fail with regard to volume.

Adjust the volume level before exporting by going to Effects>Amplify and enter an amount, or Effects>Loudness Normalization, choose RMS and enter -23db (Checker uses a different scale - this is the same as +89db).

Please make a new test recording and post it in a reply to this message. I will come back and review it for you.

Here is my adjusted volume version of my 1 minute test.

It passed the checker tool, so hopefully this is all good to go.
