The house on the marsh : A romance, by Florence Warden (1857 - 1929)

All audio files can be found on our catalog page:https://librivox.org/the-house-on-the-marsh-a-romance-by-florence-warden/

Violet Christie is just 18 years old as she heads towards her first position as a governess. She tries to be enthusiastic about the Norfolk countryside, the imposing house and her employer's family. However, there are mysteries here. The mistress of the house is detached and aloof, but that can be explained by grief and depression. Violet overhears a village girl warning her companion “you should not have spoken to her. Don’t you know she comes from the house on the marsh?” And what of Mr. Rayner? He is definitely hiding something!
The House on the Marsh was made into a silent movie in 1920. (Summary by LynneT)

Hi, how are you? I was away for about two years and I wish to return. Can I dpl this book? I want to return very slowly, so this would be my only project for now. Regards,
Stav.
Love gothic novels? Try Children Of The Abbey. Like surprising mysteries? Try The Amathist Cross. Looking for an easy read? Try Harriet's Choice.

Thank you.
Please watch the file naming protocol. It is always in the first post. It is usually best to copy and paste, just adjusting the section number.
Also, please always give the file length. We use it in our validation process.
