Coming tomorrow. New Zoom address has been established and tested (below). Anything you may previously have saved, please erase.

August's "First Monday's" Zoom Chat" is scheduled. Please spread the word and invite a friend. Be prepared to share a TIP or a BRAG if you have one. We may have to keep brags limited to a few minutes if we are close to the end of the hour. NEW: Stick around afterwards for some idle chat in the Coffee Shop.

Topic: Slide Presentation by Mark Nelson on "Instant Accents" followed by Q&A; then Bill will show us his addition to the Word Count Wiki page; Michele will give a tutorial on using the Pronunciation Help forum for adding foreign language phrases into your files that sound more or less authentic; BRAGS, plus whatever else comes up.
Time: August 7th, 2023 11:00 AM Central Time (US and Canada).
Duration: 1 hour
Log in 5 minutes ahead to set up your Real Name (username) so we know what to call you, adjust your audio and video, etc.
Recording will start at 11.
Host: Michele Fry

NOTICE: Participation includes your awareness of and agreement for us to record and release these sessions to the Public Domain.

Can you please repost the info from within the Zoom meeting? It's once more telling me you have another meeting in progress. :(

I’m getting a message saying the host has another meeting in progress. I put in the ID and passcode that was listed for today’s meeting so not sure what the issue is

It says to please wait until the host starts the meeting. There is a further option, though, called host anmeldung (application?) -- do I have to do that?

I got a message that the host has joined, but I’m not able to enter. Is it just me?

So I closed down Zoom, then reopened, and everyone was able to get in. Recorded meeting is being saved now. Good to see you all.

Here we go again, where the 1st Monday falls on a holiday. This time it's September 4th, Labor Day, and I wonder who will be busy and if we should postpone our Zoom session to Tuesday, September 5th, or maybe the 2nd Monday, September 11.

Let me hear from everyone what works best for you. I'm available whenever.

No guarantees on my end (that's the week before I leave to fly back to India), but I'm more likely to be able to come on Labor Day.
