I have been thinking for a long while of opening this book as a group reading, and was just on the point of doing so... But after looking more closely at the text, it seemed to me that it would be more suited to a solo reading. The language is fairly difficult, and I think that the subject matter is a bit too specific to attract many readers to a group project.

Still, I'd love to see it done, so I wanted to post this open invitation to anyone who might want to pick this up! I think it will come out to around 8 hours total. Some of the chapters are very short, and one at least is very long. I did plan out a way of breaking up and combining chapters to give a more or less even section length, which I would be happy to share with you, if you're interested in setting this up. I also was a little unsure of how to title the project, as the title given in the text itself is somewhat unwieldy. See this thread: viewtopic.php?t=98773

This is one of the most important works of the notable medieval scholar and priest Erasmus of Rotterdam. He is really pretty fascinating: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erasmus

I found two copies of this text. They are the same edition, but different scans. I think the first is easier to read, but here are both of them just in case.
