FDR: Repeal of the Eighteenth Amendment (Proclamation 2065—1933) [no link for now]
Would this be a suitable link to read from? It says it's PD because it's a work of the US government.

I'd like to participate in the anniversary collection this year, since I missed last year's. Just have to mention that I have a busted right arm at the moment, so editing anything lengthy isn't happening right now. But I think I could pull off a very short job such as this item, which can't be more than a few minutes. If the source is acceptable, I can give it a go.

This might be a better source: https://www.loc.gov/resource/llsalvol.llsal_048/?sp=1921&st=image and the next page.

Looking forward to your participation. And very sorry to hear about your arm!

Hmm. The Wikisource one is President Roosevelt's proclamation of the repeal, and the Library of Congress one is the actual statute itself.

I found an original scan of the Presidential proclamation here: https://catalog.archives.gov/id/299967?objectPage=5 (the page scans go from last to first).

Maria, I'd prefer you use this - or at least, read from the Wikisource text and then proof it by this one, using this one as the definitive text.
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

Thank you, both!

I think I'll catalog the author as Anonymous, like you have in the file name. :)

Alan and Kevin - the validator has this as 4:23 rather than 2:31. Is that okay, or is there something wrong with the file?

This must have been my mistake. I've listened to the recording again and it is well done and its length is 4:23.
