I would like to pick up the orphaned pages - sections 38 & 39.
This will be my first Librivox recording. Please be over-specific with any helpful information!

Great, thanks! I've reserved the sections for you. Please be sure to read the instructions in the first post of this thread. If you'd like help with pronunciation of foreign names, you're welcome to ask in the thread or send me a PM, although you don't need to worry too much about that. Let me know if you have any other questions.KateTheGreat69 wrote: ↑June 7th, 2023, 8:07 am I would like to pick up the orphaned pages - sections 38 & 39.

Send me all the critiques please. This is my first recording. Never realized it would be this hard!

Thank you, Kate! It's queued for proof-listening. Could you also tell us the duration of the recording (mm:ss)?KateTheGreat69 wrote: ↑June 9th, 2023, 4:19 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/kazbek/cambridgemodernhistory5_38_128kb.mp3

Kate, what a first section! My only critique is that we only want about a second of silence (between half a second and a full second) prior to the start of our recordings, and your recording has nearly 6 seconds.KateTheGreat69 wrote: ↑June 9th, 2023, 4:19 pm https://librivox.org/uploads/kazbek/cambridgemodernhistory5_38_128kb.mp3

Kristin,
Regarding the silence at the beginning, do I need to tweak it and resubmit?

Since sections 47 and 48 are a couple of weeks past the extended deadline and I haven't heard back from the reader, I'm reopening them and moving the thread back to Readers Wanted.
