These two poems go together for me. My mother was the daughter of a florist and worked in the family greenhouses on Vashon Island growing up. She loved all flowers. My father particularly loved roses and planted a zillion rose bushes wherever he lived, and he lived a lot of places! So for "In Memoriam", I miss my parents. This was challenging poem to read.
