Hi, Kimberly!
That would be great. Hope you got your volume controls set.

Just let me know how you would like to be listed in the LibriVox catalog -- real name, pseudonym, or any nickname you wish.
This is how you will be credited for all of your LV work.

Best wishes, from one Wilson to another. :)

Here it is. Please give me feedback. Thanks!
Very nice!
But you forgot two things.

1) I asked how you wanted to be credited in the LibriVox catalog. So, I've put you in as Kimberly Wilson. If you want to change this, please let me know.

2) As stated in the instructions, we ask the you give the file length as mm:ss when you post the URL (You can see examples of this if you browse this forum).

This is in the Magic Window marked Ready for PL, so our proof listener will have a report for you soon

Thank you!

Sounding very good with a nice voice. It would have been PL OK but, alas, the three lines at the end about Jonah and the whale were omitted.

Oops! I misread the Magic Window and recorded all the way down to Jonah and the whale. Now that I realize where the cutoff is I won't submit that part.

The baseball report section was fun to read (now for my own amusement only). I wonder if Abbot and Costello read Captain Billy and used it as an inspiration for their "Who's on first" routine??

I'm still editing my section: it has a LOT of words from 1577 in there!

Loon,
I thought about Abbott and Costello too. How fun!
So... I don't need to do anything else? My part is ready?
I'm curious about my editing too.
I'm not as tech savvy as some other people I know. LOL!

Not quite.

You need to record those missing three lines:

"Jonah to the whale: How far are we from land?
Whale: Three thousand miles.
Jonah: Don’t leave me, big boy"

Corny, I know, but we want them. Maybe I should add "corny" as one of the keywords for these volumes?

There are different ways to do this. I would open up your recording in Audacity, the go to File and select New.
This will pop up a new instance of Audacity and you can record the lines. Do any editing of them you need, then highlight and copy.
Then go to the original recording and Paste it at the end, before the "outro." Adjust the spacing as needed so that it flows well.

Then save the updated file under the same name, upload and post the URL here again with the new time mm:ss.

Let me know how it goes.
