Note that Psalm has 2 L's in it. And it would be better to use the version as the author, such as "_kjv_". Kevin will PL it and let you know if anything needs changing; if not, I'll fix the file name on my end.

Harking back to the bowels of Hell (or maybe just the surface of Mars), here's a grim but humorous little number:
Flight 18
By Paul A. Torak (birth and death dates unknown)
https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/70003
https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/18th_flight18_torak_128kb.mp3 (18:38)
The Gutenberg version has this note: "[Transcriber's Note: This etext was produced from Thrilling Wonder Stories August 1953. Extensive research did not uncover any evidence that the U.S. copyright on this publication was renewed.]"
I wasn't sure whether that should be included in the reading or not, so left it out. I'd be happy to add it if necessary.
Cheers,

Thanks!
No, the transcriber's note doesn't need to be included. I'd argue that it shouldn't.
P.S. Torak died in 1970, so he's A-OK for us as Canadian residents.

2023-1970 = 53 years. How does that fit with death + 70 years? I'm not doubting it, I just don't understand how to figure PD things.

It's complicated for Canada.
Canada was Life+50 through 2022. As of January 1, 2023 it's now Life+70, but not retroactive. So we can read authors who died in 1971 and earlier - and will be stuck here for 20 more years.

Haha! I saw that one coming, but you did a great job of animating the story! PL OK!Winnifred wrote: ↑June 4th, 2023, 3:57 pm Harking back to the bowels of Hell (or maybe just the surface of Mars), here's a grim but humorous little number:

Thanks! Yeah, it's pretty predictable. But that's part of the fun of it.
