8 and 9 are PL OK!

I have just a few notes for 10:

- At 7:16, could you edit out the first take of "you will assist me very much if you will tell me how I can best"? (p. 137)
- At 9:02, "Perhaps, dear aunt, the best way will be to ask the keeper of the hotel something about it?" I hear "Perhaps, dear aunt, the best will be to ask the keeper of the hotel something about it?" (p. 138)
- At 13:11, could you edit out the first take of "She soon discovered, also, that Miss Barbara Jenkyns was quite"? (p. 142)
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

Here are my PL notes for chapter 11:

- At 4:31, "but a pair of dingy red moreen curtains," you say "but a pair of dingy red morsen curtains" (p. 146)
- At 4:53, could you edit out the first take of "There were, moreover, six red-bottomed chairs"? (p. 147)
- At 5:53, "and what was almost darkness in England," you say "and what was about darkness in England" (p. 147)
- At 8:27, "Then we must take care that she does not hear me," I hear "Then we mustn't take care that she does not hear me" (p. 150)
- At 9:52, "by which Judith covenanted," I hear "by with Judith covenanted" (p. 151)
- At 14:53, could you edit out the first take of "A comfortable bed"? (p. 155)

Just a few more things to take care of for chapter 11:

- At 4:27, "had been let down over them," part of "had" is cut off (p. 146)
- At 5:43, after "and what was almost darkness in England," there's a bit of static (p. 147)
- At 8:18, after "Then we must take care that she does not hear me," could you include the line "said Judith"? (p. 150)
- At 9:39, after "without receiving another promise in return," there's a bit of static (p. 151)
- At 14:43, "are excellent restoratives," the end of "restoratives" is cut off (p. 156)
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

There's just one more quick edit to make to chapter 11: at 14:44, "are excellent restoratives after all the miseries you must have been exposed to during your long voyage," part of "restoratives after" is cut out (p. 156).

Chapter 12 PLing to follow later today!

11 is PL OK!

Barbara's unease over Judith's penchant for drawing in chapter 12 had me chuckling! Here are my notes:

- At 2:26, could you edit out the first take of "and wherever this happens"? (p. 166)
- At 4:20, could you edit out the first take of "and with an expression of very deliberate reflection on her features"? (p. 167)
- At 6:40, could you edit out the first take of "There was nobody in all England that poor mamma talked so"? (p. 169)
- At 6:49, "and what she most wished to come back for was, that they might live together," you say "and what she most wished to come back for was, that we might live together" (p. 169)
- At 8:22, could you edit out the first take of "and that most presumptuous of"? (p. 171)
- At 9:12, "Both my sister Elfreda and myself felt shocked and indignant, at the manner in which she wrote about the man," I hear "But my sister Elfreda and myself feel shocked and indignant, at the manner in which she wrote about the man" (p. 171-172)
- At 11:57, "I must get you to tell me aunt Worthington's present address," you say "I must tell you to tell me aunt Worthington's present address" (p. 174)
-At 14:13, "which might justify even her prudence in keeping a carriage," you say "which might justly even her prudence in keeping a carriage" (p. 176)
- At 14:36, could you say "by Frances Milton Trollope" and add just a bit more silence after that so that there's about 5 seconds?
For the time being, I'll need a little more time than usual to PL sections that come in on weekdays. Thanks for your patience.

Little did Miss Barbara reckon with the effect of a pretty eye on the sagacious prebend!
