Thomas Clarkson was one of the most influential abolitionists in England leading up the passage the Slavery Abolition Act in 1823. He wrote extensively on the history of the abolitionist movement. In this volume, Clarkson focuses on the commercial aspects of the slave trade, divided into three sections -- The History of Slavery, The African Commerce or Slave Trade,

Hi Larry, I'm not planning on contributing to this one as I'm digesting my recent reading of https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=coo.31924060453051&view=1up&seq=85

I wonder if Clarkson has some thoughts about peculiar philanthropy, and doesn't shy away from naming the Defoes, Händels and such,

Good luck with the project!

I caught that and corrected one place, but not the other.
Thanks for the alert. :)

You would certainly be welcome as DPL, but I'll let you confirm that after you have a chance to review the text. Don't feel obligated.

Thank you, David, for taking this on!
And, thank you again, Jasna, for joining as DPL.

The MW is populated and we are ready for readers.

I kept the chapter names long to avoid confusion with the parts and chapter numbers.
We have a mixture of long and short sections, and one chapter that I felt needed to be divided into multiple sections.

That would be just fine by me. :D
I've put you in for Sections 1-8

Let me know if this is not what you intended.
That's a lot of reading, but glad to have you.
