SOLO - A Pet Reader, by Edith Lawson

This project can now be found in our catalog at https://librivox.org/a-pet-reader-by-edith-w-lawson/
Little rhymes and bits of verse about animals to entertain and instruct primary children. (Summary by TR Love)
Source text (please read only from this text!): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/70598

Target completion date: 2023-06-30

Prooflistening level: Standard
Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I will set this up for you. Looks like a good book. :D I have added a tilde ~ to the title to advertise for a DPL. We will leave this in the launch pad for a few days to see if we can entice someone who likes pet stories.

Thanks Phil, it's pretty cute, isn't it? I'll populate the MW today, then check back after a weeklong vacation.

Sections 3 and 4 are posted. The "cute" deaths of animals in these stories would make a heckuva Debbie Downer sketch on SNL.

Sections 8, 9 and 10 are posted. In retrospect, I could've recorded this whole book in one section. Is that a done thing?

Sure. You can choose to record multiple parts or chapters in fewer sections if you wish. It is the soloist's choice.
