I grew up in Wisconsin about 25 miles from Minnesota. Any impression that I'm making fun of the Minnesota accent is untrue :D
I grew up maybe 35 miles from the Whiz Bang farmsite and live closer than that now.
I, of course, have no accent what-so-ever. Any claim to the contrary is a scurrilous lie. ;-)

Not too long ago, here in New Mexico, I was asked at a coffee shop what kind of milk I wanted. Me:"oat milk" Server: "Oh, are you from Minnesota?"
Left Wisconsin 30 years ago, but my accent betrays me

In the MW Ready for PL
Our DPL is in Oregon, my home state. My wife grew up in Ohio, and we lived in New England for many years, and ten years in other countries, so who knows what we sound like now. Visited both WI and MI for the first time to see friends this past year on our cross-country trip. I did have a lively discussion with other friends the other day about "wash" vs "warsh."

Greetings -
Your DPL is a Hoosier by birth, Scottish by ancestry, grew up in Washington and Oregon, went to college in Chicago, and, during an influential period of his life, worked for Reuters, the British news service. So, at any given moment, he could/can sound like any number of folks. Once, while visiting Victoria, BC, he made a man's day by having a forty minute conversation with him in a British accent. The man thought it was wonderful that someone had some of the same negative feelings about folks from the USA that he did and went away smiling.

Thank you!
I've put this in the MW Ready for PL
Please stay tuned for your report.
Please note that the file name is incorrect. We DO need the leading zero as given in the sample template _03_
And, we do like to have the file length included when you post a link, also in the posting instructions.
No need to upload again unless there are other corrections needed. We can take care of that on the back end.

Thanks to each of our readers for contributing to another issue of Whiz Bang, and to lomond for all of the proof listening.
