I understand busy!
Our trek was just fabulous!
It was wonderful meeting up with family and friends, many we hadn't seen in a long time. And the traveling went smoothly, and we enjoyed being able to stay in our motorhome. 2000 miles round trip,.

Yesterday was my last day at work, so I am officially retired -- again!
In just one week we take off on our longer journey up through Canada and eventually ending up in southern California. So, it's going to be a busy week getting ready. I'll be able to keep up with my DPL duties on the road, but recording is going to be a challenging, primarily because most places we'll be staying will be too noisy!

Wow, didn't know you have retired, that's awesome - more freedom to do more great treks!
Your trip sounds wonderful, and the one through Canada sounds just as marvelous, hope the travels go well.

All fine my side, new projects at work, so juggling different projects which can be a challenge. Anyhow, grateful to still have a job. I went to see the ENT specialist yesterday, as my nose been bothering me after my fall in January. I fractured a bone, it was luckily a non displaced fracture. However now turns out there is a septal spur which needs to be removed via a septaplasty procedure, so will be sorting that out in the next weeks. Just a day visit to hospital. We are travelling to Cape Town on the weekend (about 800 km's away) to visit my 95 year old father in law, and to take him, if he is up to it, to my niece's wedding on the Monday, to which he has been specially invited. We are trying to get my father in law into a frail care home this side, in Port Elizabeth, where we live, so that is all ongoing.

PL OK!

We've been here in California for two weeks with my older daughter and family. Three Christmas plays, two concerts, soccer games, swimming, festivals, baking cookies, etc. etc. Blue skies and no snow!
