That's it from me for this project! I look forward to listening to the completed audiobook.
Thanks once again! You're almost done here, but not quite.

0:18 You're missing a few iterations of the chorus. It repeats a few times with a different opening word. So, where the text says
Cho. Now always merry, &c.
you should say
Now always merry, and never drunk.
That's the life of the jolly monk.
and so on, with "For always merry," "So always merry," and "Oh! Always merry."

0:23 OPTIONAL pronunciation note. The monk is talking about "last Annunciation-day," an important festival which a monk would be very familiar with. But I hear "last Assunciation-day," which is something I've never heard of.

I thought at first that the line for just plain "Monk" was missing, but here it is, right at the end. Keeping it in order would have made editing easier, so if you wouldn't mind, since you are making edits anyway, will you please move that line to after all of the choruses and before the nose-blowing line? :D Thanks!

I don't think I captured the pathos of this section -- from dagger through the heart to wooing the heart of the fair Lilia. Julian is such an evolving character. The yapping dog down the street didn't help the process either.
Nice work, Larry. Julian is sounding really good. There are a couple of issues that I found, and I feel bad asking you to change some of them, because some of them are not your fault. :( I noticed a few typos in the Gutenberg text. Or, what looked like typos anyway. Why I didn't see them when I read through this whole thing before I posted them, I don't know. Anyway, I compared it with an archive scan and confirmed that there are a few words missing from the PG text. Would you mind correcting those spots, even though, like I said, it's not your fault?

1:01 Typo, scene 1. "know you will for my sake" is missing an I at the beginning: "I know you will for my sake." https://archive.org/details/cu31924013520220/page/n47/mode/1up
2:53 Typo, scene 4. https://archive.org/details/cu31924013520220/page/n52/mode/1up This should be "Do I not love her?" The Gutenberg says "love he," and I am hearing something like "love ye." :hmm:
4:17 Missing word, scene 6. This should be "And I not see?" I hear, "And not see." This feels important, to get the meaning across.
5:24 Word switch, scene 7. This should be "I hope it will not pass too soon." (It meaning Lilia's fainting fit.) I hear "I hope I will not pass too soon."
13:58 Typo again, scene 13. :( This should be "We have been very secret," and the we is missing from the PG text.https://archive.org/details/cu31924013520220/page/n69/mode/1up

I'd like to take "Mob 2" from part 2 and "3rd Student" from part 4, if I may. So far, I'm only in part 1.
I'll be out for a bit on this last weekend of April, but still checking in as I get the chance. I will try to follow up on Monday, with anything I can't do on the go.

Not a problem at all, Devorah!

This kind of stuff happens more often than we would like. Some of the earlier Gutenberg ebooks were not very carefully proof read. They've gotten much better. I'll try to be more attentive to the text myself.

I also have Lily recorded, but it is going to take a lot of editing to get it into shape.

Finally recovered from a respiratory / throat ailment and a short trip last weekend to help build a house in Ensenada, Mexico, last weekend, so I'll attend to these soon.
On the road again, so delays are possible

Excellent! There was one more chorus that begins with "Now," which I don't hear in this one. But I plan to trade out which monks are singing the iterations of which chorus anyway as I edit, so missing one is just fine. PL ok!

Here's Mob 2. The "Voices from within" lines are hopefully easy to separate, if you wanted just one voice for each particular phrase. I've also added some miscellaneous shouts that are vaguely mentioned in the script. They're after 0:50 if you want them. :)

And the third student. Generous, even if not appreciated.

Hi Devorah!

May I have a small extension on Lilia? Pretty sure I’m way over the deadline but forgot to ask for an extension
Hope to have her all finished in the next week.

May I read the 3rd Monk in Part 1 and the Hostess in Part 2?
Back from a low-internet no-Librivox year in Georgia. Glad to be with you again.
