Lurker to Librivox, new in taking the reading plunge!

Hello!

I've finally done it. Taking those first steps to reader-hood. I'm a retired librarian, an indexer/cataloger, and a History major in undergrad. So, books in public domain and me seem to be a marriage made in heaven! How I so love listening to the old historical biographies, the diaries, cookbooks and the like that I simply couldn't resist the urge anymore to be part of this community.

I love the fact there are so many new posts as I looked over the forum initially, and feel honored to add my voice!
