Thank you. It will be a few days before I get a chance to PL (see my signature line).
I do need a link to the text you use, though.

Dear lynnet,

Please listen to this version instead of the one I sent earlier today:

https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/ssc106_thetell-taleheartrevised_jsw_128kb.mp3

This is my third recording for LV, and I'm still working out the bugs on just getting something listenable. On this revision I deleted a number of breath inhalations. Although I do have to breathe while reading, I think I managed to remove quite a few breaths that, in aggregate, had started to become intrusive. I also managed to get the background noise level below 30db (although I'm not sure I remember how I did it).

I'm not sitting by my phone waiting for your call, so whenever you get to it...

Cheers, jsw

and oh, my source was Gutenberg.org, although I couldn't get a website address more specific than that, the story came from: The Works of Edgar Allan Poe — Volume 2 by Edgar Allan Poe.

Thanks. Some breathing is fine :) just not creepy heavy breathing. We have been told that listeners like some breathing, so they know we’re real people, not robots.
