This collection is now closed.
Sonia and Elizabeth, I look forward to your readings in collection 106. Please adjust the intro and file name accordingly. That collection will be along within the next day or so.

Thank you!
I made up the tune.
I would leave it here. GMD wrote his stories for children and the childlike. I think it has deep meaning, and adults need a dose of silliness, too, if that is the only level on which they engage with it.

I enjoyed your reading, but have you considered submitting this to Children's Short Works? viewtopic.php?t=95461 Your choice -- we can leave it here if you wish.
Just one thing, though... did you make up the tune for the song yourself? We have to be sure it is PD, but if you made it up, it is fine. Otherwise we need to know if was written 1927 or earlier.

Hi Lynnet, I went ahead and uploaded "A Modest Proposal" story to one of the Open Horror Story collections. It is basically a satire that inspired a horror movie. Just thought I would let you know since initially I was planning on uploading it to this section. Thanks, Sonia.
