another good run-through, only a few bits missing:

> at 1:42: (p. 110) "Clarinda, aside" - name missing

> at 1:44: (p. 110) between "Clarinda aside" and "the man goes..." - leave more space for Todd to edit, as there will be speech in between

> at 2:16: (p. 111) "Clarinda, aside" - name missing

> at 2:56: (p. 113) "Ogle, rubbing his shoulder" - name missing

> from 2:57 to 3:01: between "Ogle, rubbing his shoulder" and "aside" - you can cut the silence, as this will be spoken at the same time, before the actual speech

thanks, and on to the final act....

ok, I stopped after one minute, after the first two asides missed the name, even though it was the only sentence that was spoken, so there was no tricky dilemma whether to include the name or not. I am thinking you may have uploaded the old file again.

Could you please check and reupload the revised file before I go on, otherwise there may be too many notes for me to write down again :?

thanks

great job, only 3 small asides missed this time:

> at 0:55: (p. 96) "Emilia, aside" - name needs to be included

> at 1:00: (p. 97) "Clarinda, aside" - also here

> at 3:13: (p. 105) "Careful, aside" - also here - that was a tricky one, I was pondering over it a long time, but I think it really refers to the first sentence,he would not speak of Mrs Plotwell in the third person if it wasn't an aside

thanks

and on to the last two...

Hi Sonia, I think what was messing me up through this whole thing is that I was interpreting "end of speech" as being at end of one sentence line as well as paragraph long lines.

Fingers crossed. This certainly was an education!

yes usually in modern plays, the "Aside" is put on the correct spot, but as I mentioned before, in the old scripts, it is often marked after the speech it refers to. So the narrator really has to read the sentences and assess which part is spoken as aside. If it's the first sentence, than the name needs to be included.

In Act 5 you managed nearly everywhere to find the correct spots, but a few are still missing:

> at about 2:52: (p. 126) missed line: "Enter Colonel, Clarinda, Emilia and Toper"
> at 2:56: (p. 126) "Colonel kneels" – name needs to be inserted
> at 3:28: (p. 128) "Sir William aside" – name needs to be included, it refers to the first sentence
> at 3:58: (p. 129) between "exit" and "the epilogue" – leave more space for the editor
> at 5:42: (in the epilogue) between "for ever" and "hold", please make a little pause, say "Going" and then continue. The epilogue here also has a stage direction, so you have to act for both ;)

nearly done...thanks

sorry for the delay, I'm just back from my holiday trip.

An excellent job, Elijah, thank you so much. Bellmein is quite the charmer

A few PL notes here however, before we're done:

Act 2:
> at 0:47: (p. 77) "or are not so finical" - you say "cynical"
> at 2:49: (p. 81) "I think in my conscience" - you say "confidence"
> at 6:21: (p. 86) "some more pressing private business" - you say "preferring"
> at 7:58: (p. 87) "there's your weakly, finicking, dancing, singing witty fop" - you say "sickening dance"
> at 8:21: (p. 87) "his chiefest talent" - you say "choice of" if I'm not mistaken
> at 9:15: (p. 88) "well, madam, you have business, I see" - you say "benefits"
> at 10:29: (p. 94) "I have some business with him" - also here, you say "benefits"

Act 3:
> at about 0:18: (p. 100) missed lines: "Files ! ha ha ha, you was resolved to prevent murder, you need never fear the exaltation of the gallows, for your courage reaches but to a chance medley, at most."

thanks
