Thanks. I'm in the US, so (luckily) the publication date of "Eleanor Stevens' Will" is the pertinent date.

I’m sorry to tell you we cannot use Agatha Christie’s work, although many of us would love to! There has been longstanding debates with the family and they do not want us using her work. We are not in the business of upsetting families. Although we think we would win a lawsuit, we cannot retain lawyers, and, as I said, we’re not in the business of upsetting people. It is all to do with public domain status, and the fact that the Librivox founder is Canadian. As a result, many years ago it was decided that Christie is off-limits.

Hi! I’d like to contribute “Jeeves and the Yuletide Spirit”; confirming this is how I ask for the go-ahead? Thanks!

For collections, you do not need to preclaim unless it is to check PD status. For Wodehouse, we need to check the text you are reading from as not all of his work is PD yet. It also depends n where you live. He died in 1975, so if you are in a death+50 or +70 country, it would not be PD for you.
In any case, please complete your 1 minute test first, as outlined in your welcome email.

Edit: I see you are in New York, so you just need to make sure it was published pre-1928. (And is not a later edition)
