You will remember Mme de La Tour du Pin's "Reminiscences of the Revolution and the Empire"? Her mother was a Carey and Mme de La T du P was close to her Falkland cousins. They, like all her family, had been Jacobites but they stayed in England.
Thanks, Barbara.
I'm coming across these historical interconnections all the time now!
