The Little Room and Other Stories, by Madeline Yale Wynne (1847 - 1918)
Woman of Weird Fiction Madeline Yale Wynne took to writing later in life but produced some truly unique and strange pieces of literature such as the relentlessly opaque and enigmatic title story, "The Little Room", the quirky and comedic "My Ghost of a Chance" and the haunting, mysterious "The Voice". Lovers of the odd should find much of interest in this succinct collection of stories. (Summary by Ben Tucker)

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Sections 1 and 2 PL OK

I really don't know what to make of the Little Room story...was I supposed to infer something beyond that Aunt Hannah was the one somehow creating the little room and it was linked to a sea captain's trunk? I have many questions, but maybe the point was to not answer them :)

Yea, I think it was an intentionally obscure, weird story. I actually think it works better without the sequel. The house just burns down and that's it. Nice little what the heck moment it ends on.
