Just seeing this. Great job, madam! I believe our Wikipedia Links for both books and authors are finally up to date thanks to you. :D

They're never up to date. LOL! New books are cataloged every day. I think there are 25 projects per catalog page, which means there are now 75 projects since the Mexican Dishes one that haven't been gone through yet.

Well, up to date through March 25th, anyway. A far sight better than it was before, which seemed a near impossible task. It thrills me to see our projects' authors and titles linked to in External Links on so many Wikipedia pages. :D
Next task will be creating Wikipedia Pages for books that have none.

Ah, you made me go and add the newest 96 authors to the list.

With the book one, I'd change the title in the template to "A History of the Warfare of Science with Theology in Christendom" without the Volume One. That way when Volume 2 is done, the search will pull up both volumes. (I've made the change.)

Other than that, all looks good! I've updated the spreadsheets with your updates. :) I've also added in S. D. Gordon's Wikipedia page to the author page.
I'm not sure about this reporting template.

Nope, that's it. The book name can be left out when making an author entry (as you did).

On the Lord Dunsany Wikipedia page, I noticed a separate category called Audiobooks, to which I added the same code we have already posted in External Links. I have noticed this Audiobooks section showing up on a few other Wikipedia pages, so maybe that's something to check on when adding our links. If it becomes a regular section, maybe we can quit adding it to External Links, but for now I think the latter is where people will go a-looking for audiobooks.

Should we make a notation in the spreadsheet?

Yes, if there's an Audiobooks section - or another section more specific or logical than External Links, put the link there. I've noticed some pages that have a different layout, where I've put the link. I can't think of any off the top of my head as an example.

Something that would be helpful, if someone is looking for fiddly work but is afraid of Wikipedia, is to do the non-Wikipedia ones. Here's what I'm thinking:

- Go here and check the title under "Progress": https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1a_723FBe8wXXmosf3MzR9O3apKgoywk6P_z02_iX4qE/edit#gid=1905033760
- On the LV page, click on Title, which sorts the titles by most recently cataloged. Find the project listed as the last one done from the above step.
- Working your way UP, go to each catalog page. From there, make a list:
--- Project ID (this can be seen by hovering your mouse over the RSS or iTunes button)
--- Project Title
--- If it has a Wikipedia link to the book/project (anything other than author Wikipedia links). Yes/No is sufficient.
- When you get to the top of the list, scroll back down to the bottom and click the previous page. (If you're on page 4, click on 3.) Keep working from the bottom to the top.,
- When you are done for that session, note which project you've stopped at (err, I guess it'll be the last on your list!) and the catalog date for that project.

From there, you could enter the ones that don't have a Wikipedia link into the spreadsheet (the same link as above, and click on the Audiobooks tab), or just list all of the above in a post here, and I'll add them to the spreadsheet, along with looking at the Wikipedia pages to see if there's already a link back.

Does that make sense?

Right now we're about a month behind. The last project worked was Short Poetry Collection 240, cataloged June 3 (currently at the top of page 5, but it'll move down the list every day!)

I've printed this out and am trying to make sense of it. Stand by for questions . . .

Notes:
clicked on the link, got to what I guess we can call the Progress page, with column H “Progress”. (Is this is the LV page you are referring to?????)
Under Title, there is only one project, Short Poetry Collection 240
I click on Title, nothing happens. I presume because there is nothing to sort.
I click on the project's name, nothing happens.
Now what?

Thanks for attempting it!

Yes, that's where I'm talking about (the Progress area). That is the last project that was done.

So, noting that, go back to the LibriVox home page and click on Title. Find that project, and work your way up the list.

You don't even have to go to the actual AudioBooks list in the spreadsheet. 8-)

EDIT: Right now that project is towards the top of page 5.

Okay I figured your instructions out and have gotten about half way thru June. I'm not going a step further until somebody fixes the 1 point type on new text pasted into Column B (If you type in that column it's 10). I keep trying to Format the Font for Column B, but it won't stick. Gotta be some instruction about pasting in text that I don't know about.

And if we have a wizard around who could make the Link column say YES automatically when we paste in a Wikipedia link, that would save a click every time. Those clicks do add up. I wonder why we even have that first Yes/No column, since not having a link in Column E is an obvious NO in Column C, and having one is a YES. (This is different from the Yes/No in Column F, which we do need confirmation on as we can't see the page.

Are you talking bout in the AudioBooks tab (the whole list of projects)? When I copy off the LV catalog page and paste in there, it ends up being 24 point, not 1 point.

What I do, when pasting a title into the title column, is hit the space bar first, then delete the space, then paste the title. That makes sure it's the correct format because it's basically typing it in. But I work with the keyboard to copy/paste, so your mileage may vary.

However, I wasn't asking you to put anything in the spreadsheet, but just in a separate list to put here - unless you are doing the whole thing by adding the LV links to Wikipedia?

Ha! True! It was David O who made the spreadsheet, I think. That's a good question for him. :)
