I finally got around to finding out what went wrong here. I'm still not quite sure how it happened, but I uploaded the wrong file to the MW after making the needed corrections.PaulWelford wrote: ↑February 5th, 2023, 12:00 pmHi KevinKevinS wrote: ↑January 18th, 2023, 7:51 pmApologies for these rough edits. It's the best I can do at this time.PaulWelford wrote: ↑December 18th, 2022, 6:52 am S4 issues
00:39 Section title (2. Aftermath of war) is missing
03:17 success (usual pronunciation issue)
06:20 accessory (similar pronunciation issue to success)
06:51 succeeding (usual pronunciation issue)
07:39 677 million should be 676 million
12:23 300 million should be 3 million
36:40 30 million should be 3 million

I think the above edits are all fine with the exception of the first one. You've inserted the section title "Aftermath of War" at 00:58 (just after "a for Veterans") instead of 00:39.
However, something else strange seems to have happened. There are numerous tiny glitches in minutes 4 and 6 which I would swear weren't there when I first PL'd it or I would have mentioned them. They are as below and if you wish I can have a crack at snipping them out for you (as well as the one above) - call it penance for being absent or just me returning the favour of DPL'ing Kanana for me
04:22
04:32
04:41
04:48
04:58
06:12
06:30
06:36
06:41
As to the glitches between minutes 4 and 6, do you mean the longer than desired pauses that crop up?
Listening again, they kind of bother me, too, and I think I will tighten them up. So if that's the issue, don't Spot PL until I have a chance to clean things up.

Paul, I went ahead and tightened up the pauses in Section 4 (minutes 4 through 6) so you are now free to Spot PL when it is convenient for you. The new time is 38:55. The correction at 0:39 is made, too.

Sorry I didn’t reply in time Kevin - it’s non-stop but wonderful in the new job. As it’s been a while I can’t remember clearly but I think they were more like discontinuities of sound than pauses. However I’ll check the new version ASAP.
Thank you. No great rush.PaulWelford wrote: ↑March 1st, 2023, 6:50 pmSorry I didn’t reply in time Kevin - it’s non-stop but wonderful in the new job. I've done it. So we were both right. They were discontinuities where I think you had paused recording and then re-started with a slightly different tone. But you also had some excessive pauses where the two sections joined. The combination of the two made it sound like a hard glitch to me. You have removed some but not all of those pauses. I have therefore taken the extreme liberty of re-snipping the remaining excess pauses and I now think it's ready to go. However, I won't upload the new version without your permission. May I proceed sir?KevinS wrote: ↑March 1st, 2023, 7:21 pmThank you. Thank you, and please feel free. To be certain that we are following LV rules, I will do a final PL.PaulWelford wrote: ↑March 1st, 2023, 8:12 pmI've done it. So we were both right.
