This was fun - I really liked these poems and your reading. My favorite poem was Diplomatic Relations. It made me laugh.
Here are my PL notes
Anything in italics was something I noted, but probably is not significant enough to change. You can decide either way
Section 1:
0:32 heard "Spoke words of grace he spoke"
text says "Soft words of grace he spoke"
13:28 heard "cakeberries" but text says "crakeberries"
not sure if that one is significant enough to fix
14:41 heard "in this despair of you in this despair for you"
text says "in this despair for you"
14:51 heard "give me then a thought for me give then a thought for me"
text says "give then a thought for me"
14:58 heard "do but remember, we once in love could agree, do remember, we once in love could agree"
text says "do but remember, we once in love could agree"
15:54 repeat "and raven's croak was shepherd's horn to slow cloud shadow strayed across"
16:21 stumble over "streaming"
16:26 stumble over "so now"
16:29 repeat "but poised in marble thought you stood"
16:50 repeat "love might come at your command yet will not stay"
17:21 heard "in the presence of empty air is the presence of empty air"
text says "is the presence of empty air"
----
Section 2:
11:54 repeat "from"
13:39 heard "let us observe what with uncommon sense"
text says "let us observe with what uncommon sense"
13:45 say "Red King" instead of "Red Queen"
13:53 say "kings and kittens" instead of "queens and kittens"
probably not significant enough to fix but noted it because it was a reference to Alice's Wonderland
15:05 heard "with those same pangs that lately choked our breath"
text says "with those same pangs that lately choked her breath"
I think it changes the meaning here

I'm so glad you like the poems. I apologize, though, for all my mistakes. I should not have recorded when I did when so tired. I see that this is what happens.elsieselwyn wrote: ↑March 13th, 2023, 4:21 pm This was fun - I really liked these poems and your reading. My favorite poem was Diplomatic Relations. It made me laugh.

I'll try to get to these corrections soon.

I'm really sorry about this mess. I will have to go more slowly now so I catch my omissions and mistakes.

Don't feel bad! I actually really enjoy to PL and don't mind noting a lot or a few mistakes. I like to draw while listening with paper next to me to note errors - so no real extra effort on my part.KevinS wrote: ↑March 13th, 2023, 6:44 pm Corrections:

I make as many, if not more mistakes, as you sometimes - especially with twisty poems. I usually use the clapping method to help me find them all. Fortunately, my mom and cats don't mind the incessant clapping
I will spot PL these tomorrow

Both are PL OK Great job editing, Kevin! I couldn't tell in most places that you had even edited.
