I don't pretend for a moment that I have everything worked out in my recording and editing process. I am always trying to improve things. But I have probably got far enough to have something interesting.

Don't think for a moment that I am any kind of perfect example to follow! I base what I do on a mix of trial and error and some tutorials on Reaper by Mike Delgadio. [Booth Junkie on YouTube].

I'd like to volunteer for an interview. Ironically because I record late at night there shouldn't be any problem with settling a time!

Not sure what to do next, if anything. Await a PM?

Yep. That will be 11 am my time, 12 yours. I look forward to some fun. I will record the session on my pc then either upload to YouTube as a private link or upload to Google Drive and give you the link to edit or fiddle with as you wish. I have no doubt that this will be a test and you will get more ideas from it of how to best approach the goal of having a series of LibriVoxers describing their recording process for others to examine.

The invite link is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82534153256?pwd=VWJRVEVSZ01JY2xFUXNMb01iNXV5Zz09 just click on that you should go right in.
11 am Central/ 12 Eastern Wed Feb 22

Meeting code 825 3415 3256

I will open the zoom session at 11 or after I get my new cup of coffee and you can join.

Here's the link to the first One on One interview. It's a bit rough but it's only the first try. I'll be contacting another volunteer in the next few days.

Thanks. I've been wanting to talk with you about that session, especially your impressions and stuff. Is this going in the direction you originally intended?
EDIT: The video is nice, you edited it well. I suggest putting overlay text on the screen when a topic is being discussed, e.g. "RECording Environment" would be shown discretely. What do you think? Also, I foresee a lot of use of this thread so please let's keep discussion within the ONE on ONE thread where we can all find it (meaning me  ).

@audiomike, thank you for sharing that video - that gave me a good sense of how the project interviews go. I'd be happy to volunteer to share my set-up, process, my exceedingly DIY "sound studio" (closet :D ). I'm in the U.S. Mountain time zone and Monday is likely going to be my first good day to chat. Pretty much any time on that day would be fine, though.

I'll delete this later rather than clog the thread but have you considered having the links in the first post or something so they are all together if anyone else wants to listen to them ? Or do you want them "private".
How do you see it ?

Anne,

Excellent idea.
Are you saying edit the first post to include the links? If so, I would need some destructions on how to do it.

An excellent idea Anne. I envision someplace where these could be gathered together and marked with the name of each interviewee as a pool of reference for everyone in Livbrivox. The creator of course can decide how he wishes to make them available. Let's talk.

I'd be happy to be interviewed, but my experience with Zoom is limited.
