Thanks for the clarification!

Follow up question: where do I find the project number of my solo project?

When you're inside the Magic Window, it's the number in the address bar at the end of the URL. You can also just hover over the "BC Admin" link in the first post of the thread, and the URL should pop up somewhere on your screen.

Hi all,

I made some changes to the CD Covers wiki page. Below is what I did. Hopefully this will make the page easier to follow.
Changes:
Placed "Tutorial" under its own heading so it is more visible
Added information about locating project number
Edited "Quick Guide" section to be clearer
Added subheadings to Logo section, changed "pixel" to "raster"
Added subheadings to Template section
Renamed "CD Covers" -> Published CD Covers"
Placed "How To Thank A Cover Artist" under "Pubished CD Covers"
Added heading "Supplies", and moved the section to below "PD Picture Sources"

Comment: should the "Supplies" information be moved over to the Donating CDs page?

Looks good to me, quartertone.
I made a few little edits myself, and updated the 2011 link to 2023 link to the 3-in-1 template.

Hi,
Newbie here. I was wondering whether we are allowed to use or own art ? Like a painting we made since it is not under any copyright ?

Yes, as long as you release it into the public domain - meaning, anyone can take your artwork off the cover and use it for their own purposes.

Just adding - as long as it isn't a photo or painting of a recognisable person or of a trademark-protected object. Anne

I had to share the comment under this film poster
https://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archivo:The_Lost_World_%281925%29_-_film_poster.jpg

Since when did film posters have accurate depictions of anything :hmm:

Note: This historical image is not a factually accurate dinosaur restoration.

Reason: Pronated hands, real T. rex did not have more than two fingers (unlike in this image), outdated posture, tail dragging, lack of possible feathers. DinosaursRoar (talk) 2:14, 26 September 2019 (UTC)

I've been enjoying myself a bit too much creating the cover image for my solo book project. I thought I'd share them here as a preview, and to solicit comments and suggestions.

I also might have went a bit crazy designing the back cover as well; work in progress.

I think the ants were an inspired addition! #insidejoke

Very cool - both the cover and the running commentary on what you tried and either kept or rejected. :)
