Hi there and welcome to LV!

I'm afraid this is not how this works. If you post a group project, you're expected to manage the project on your own (aka "become the BC) - respond to claims, keep the magic window up to date etc. You may also have to deal with newbie questions. And finally, we expect you to be online relatively often so that the project stays on track overall.

Therefore, we prefer our BCs to have some experience on how things are done on LibriVox, so that the project runs smoothly and without hiccups.

I see that you've received an [OK] on your test, that's a good start. Now it's best to read a few sections in other people's group projects and maybe get your feet wet with a short solo of your own. Once you have significantly more experience than you have now, you can revisit this - or any other - group project.
Cheers, Ava.

Here's the "Readers Wanted: Books" forum: viewforum.php?f=2 All works here need readers. Each thread listed is a project. Click on the different titles to see the information about that particular project.

Here's the "Readers Wanted: Short Works" forum: viewforum.php?f=19 Many of these work the same as the Books forum (click on the project to see what's available) while the "collection" projects require you to look for your own short text.

And to round things out, here's "Readers Wanted: Dramatic Works" viewforum.php?f=27 where you claim a "role" in a project, like a play, and record those lines, and someone else stitches everything together into one completed project.

Moving this thread to Book Suggestions for now, to keep the Launch Pad tidy. After you've gotten your legs here, if you want to coordinate this project, we can move it back to the Launch Pad. :)

I've moved this to the Launch Pad for you and changed the first post so that you can edit it. (I suggest shortening the file name.) ;)

I am thinking that "opinionsofthefounders_slaves_##_livermore_128kb.mp3" would faithfully capture the title and content.

It's been a little bit, just wanted to check in if there was anything else needed from me before the MW could be set up. I thought I read in some thread that many of the MCs are under a heavy load, so I'm not in a particular hurry. Just trying to be thorough.

The MW is ready to get filled.

I've changed the Subject (delete the 'An'), so my initials have place.
I've changed the filename (delete an '_' before 'slaves').

I added the 'Genres for the project' - Non-fiction/History/Modern (19th C) - is that okay, or do you have another suggestion?

Can you please add some key words.

Greetings, Bernd

Thank you. I'll add the key word 'abolitionism' due to Livermore's views and his alliance with President Lincoln. Other key words might be more fitting.

I'll start setting up the MW.

I've added the '~' to the subject so everyone can see we need a DPL.
