I like the term "overgrown storms" - sounds much better than simple "hurricanes".

Thank you!
Overgrown indeed...we had to outrun one crossing the North Atlantic. Our ship was a big liner--the Maasdam--but even so the Captain pulled in the stabilizers, fired up the sixth Diesel engine, and ran for Reykjavic harbor at maximum speed. Waves were said to be 50-footers. We could hear the crockery crashing in the galley. What a fun ride!I like the term "overgrown storms" - sounds much better than simple "hurricanes".

The author has a very vivid imagination! How he describes the buccaneer life makes it seem he had seen it with his own eyes.

The description of Port Royale was masterful! This A. Hyatt Verrell is a master of imaginary descriptions!

Thank you!
I sometimes think "imaginary" is exactly the right word. Surely he embellishes the story a bit. It's almost like reading a novel...The description of Port Royale was masterful! This A. Hyatt Verrell is a master of imaginary descriptions!

I think only the MC can alter content on the Project Screen page but I may be wrong. The button is near the top right on the MW/section compiler page (where you add the links)Steven Seitel wrote: ↑April 8th, 2023, 1:24 pm Thanks, Dave. But which is the "Project Screen" page? Is that part of compiling the book, or...? I'm not familiar with the process.

Hi, ya'll, just dropping by to weigh in on the Project Screen discussion. In my experience, BC's aren't allowed in that area. So when you add your summary in the Template Generator, that goes onto the Project Screen AND shows up in the First Post where you summarize your book. But if you change your description during the project's progress (which always happens with me as I learn more about the story), the MC won't know it unless you alert them to change it on their "project screen" before cataloguing.
I know this because I've had a primitive (place-holder) summary go into the catalogued project before, because I didn't know my tweaks didn't automatically update the Project Screen as well. It's a very good example of "Live and learn."
