Hello,

I'd like to record Mattens, section 34 (P69).
It's one sentence, good for a newbie :)
Thanks!

Thank you for your recording.
I need to register you as a Reader. To do this I need to know what name you would like to appear in the catalogue. It can be your forumname, real name or anything else.

Hi
Welcome to LibriVox.
I need to register you as a Reader. To do this I need to know what name you would like to appear in the catalogue. This can be your forumname, real name or anything else.
Meanwhile I will reserve section 34 for you. The poem is 20 lines long, starting part way down page 69 and continuing on page 70.

Hello Alan,

You can use my full name in the catalogue, Angela Ortiz.
Do I use my full name or forum name when I'm finished recording?

Thanks for your help.
Thanks!

Hi Angela
I have registered you as a Reader and assigned section 34 to you. Click on your name in the Magic Window to see your Reader Page.
Readers usually say their catalogue name on recordings so you should say "Read for LibriVox.org by Angela Ortiz".
Good luck

I read it as my forum name so I think I will keep it that way for the catalogue. Is this asked each time we submit a work? Or is this something that stays in our profile for all of our submissions? Just curious. Thanks!

When a new reader joins Librivox they need to be registered under the name they wish to appear in the catalogue. I have now registered you as BeccaVO and all your future recordings will be catalogued under this name unless you ask to change it. To see your Reader Page click on your name in the Magic Window (MW).

I have now assigned section 26 to you and marked your recording as Ready for PL (proof listening). A report on your recording will appear in this project thread in due course.

Hi Becca
PL Notes for section 26:

The text is correct and well read

A few minor points:
at 0.00 reduce opening silence to 1 second
at 5.00 insert Read for Librivox.org by BeccaVO
at 1.21 increase end silence to 5 seconds

Please correct these points and re-upload with the same filename.

PL Notes

Hi Clara
I am sorry to say that there are a number of problems with your recording. Most of the text is so quiet that it is inaudible so I cannot say if it is correct. But there are also some syllables that are so loud that they overload the microphone and cause clipping. As I am not an expert on recording techniques I cannot advise you on how to improve this apart from suggesting you watch some of the Video Tutorials in the Need Help? Got Advice? forum.
Then perhaps you could make a new recording, trying to keep your voice more even and making the words clearer. Then upload this with the correct filename thetemple_025_herbert_128kb.
Sorry I cannot be more help.
Best wishes.
