I am not the least bit surprised that the poor man had a nervous breakdown.
This chapter is also PL OK.

Really, huh? I’m about ready to have one!! I’m usually pretty good at figuring out mysteries beforehand, but this one has me baffled. Unless…Could the dwarf really be a nice guy and we judged him wrong?? Is Mr. Moreland more sinister than we suspect?? Questions, questions…..

The author is definitely setting it up for that kind of solution. In which case, is that too obvious?
I have been sooo good with the books I have PL'd, forcing myself not to read ahead but to wait until the next chapter is ready.

Yes! You ARE GOOD! Hang with me... we will discover what happens next together! (I don't even read ahead... I want to be surprised with emotion as it happens!)
So, is that why Mr. Harris had two different cards, he is pretending to be someone else?
One little comment on Chapter 9 - easily fixed, even by me.
9:30 There is an extra long silence between "delicate" and "silver" in "with delicate silver and china,", just needs a bit of shortening.

Fixed now, ready for Spot Check.
Good grief! I should say!... Good ear! Sounded like I paused to burp or something. Fortunately, that wasn't recorded... would have been on the blooper's reel!

Chapter 11 posted, ready for PL...
This is going a bit slower than I intended... hopeful to speed it up soon.
Chapter 10 is PL OK.
I do not like Mr. Harris.
I'll try to get to chapter 11 this evening.

Thank you M - I think we are definitely going to see a different side to Moreland too!
Sure does seem like it.
Notes on chapter 12.
5:36 I hear "Lady Abscess" instead of "Lady Abbess" in "ghost of the Lady Abbess,", also at 11:00. The first time the word "Abbess was used and the second two were switched to abscess. I must confess I kind of like calling the ghost "Lady Abcess".
11:54 can't quite make out the last word in "As the door closed behind Emile," can you double check it.
Also, I didn't catch on to it right away but just wanted to let you know that you did change the pronunciation of "Emile" partway through.

LOL - Dog gone! I was worried about that. My mispronunciations don't surprise me at all. (It always takes me longer to edit than it does to read the story, and I caught a few of these earlier.
Will get to fixing these soon... thanks for your keen ear.
