LIBRIVERSARIES – January 2023

At Librivox, we value ALL our volunteers. Whether you are on here daily, weekly, or just every now and then, you are part of our Librivox family. We are grateful for your contributions.

This month we celebrate 131 *active members*(defined below) who joined in January a year or more ago, and send a hearty round of applause for "job well done" and "thank you for still being here". As you run across these names in your projects, how about giving them a high five or pat on the back, and direct them to this page (which they may not even know about) to see who else shares their Libriversary.

*“Active member”* is defined by some level of volunteerism within the past year. If you think your name has been left off this list, or misspelled, please PM msfry. Members who become active again after a long absence and are still in our Membership database, can make the list in future years. The current Libriversary announcement is a Sticky at the top of the News Forum. Past Libriversaries don't disappear . . . they can be found in the forum as well, by date published.

Don't remember when you signed up? You can tell by checking the right hand column in every post you make.

Thank you! :)
There is also a parallel January libriversaries thread by Lynnet - all the more acknowledgement of the volunteers ;)

Libriversaries are posted for every month of every year. Lynne asked me if I would like to do the honors for awhile, and I said YES! :D There is only one list. This list is just for January enrollments. Look for your month when it comes up.

Interestingly, the list at the top gets thinner as the years go by, while the names at the bottom grow longer and add new blood.

Librivoxers die off. That explains it, eh?

OR.... they are pulled up from their computer chair by a tractor beam from the mother ship up in orbit.

I made it! One year in, and still trucking :)
I wonder how many of my "classmates" will be on next years list. Lots and lots, I hope.

Let's hope so, and congratulations! It never gets boring, the challenges keep coming, and the learning experiences are endless!
Classmates, what a concept! Next thing you know there will be clamour for class reunions. :D
